Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over
With St. Patrick’s Day and Spring Break right around the corner, many Americans, “holiday cheer” involves celebrating with alcohol at parties, social gatherings, and other holiday events. There is no happy ending to drinking and driving. The risks just aren’t worth it; you could find yourself in the back of a police car headed to jail, or worse- you could kill someone or end up seriously injured or dead your self. During holiday’s, Law Enforcement increases their patrol to actively look for impaired drivers. Consider the legal and financial burdens of a DUI. You not only face jail time, loss of driving privileges, dozens of other anticipated expenses ranging for attorney fees, possible court costs, lost wages due to having to take time off of work, the added humiliation and consequences of telling your family, friends, or employers of your charge. And lets not forget about the possibility of taking some one else’s life and possibly your own. Remember to plan a safe ride home before the celebrations begin. Before drinking, give your keys to a sober driver, use public transportation, or even BE THE SOBER DRIVER.
If you happen to see a drunk driver on the road, report it. It could save someone’s life.
