2015 Cascade County DUI Scholarship Winners
The Cascade County DUI Task Force has once again awarded three graduating seniors from Cascade County a $1,000.00 scholarship. Each of the winners was in competition with other seniors whom had involvement with substance abuse either personally or otherwise, and have adopted a substance-free lifestyle because of it. Each competitor was required to write a letter describing their background, how substance abuse affected their life, the student’s accomplishments, interests, academic goals, and their intent to continue higher education. Additionally, at least two letters of endorsement must be sent along with their submission. Checks will be mailed to the school after verification by letter from the schools registrar’s office of the student’s full time enrollment. The Cascade County DUI Task Force is pleased to announce that this year’s recipients are: Serenity McCarthy and Serena Palmer, both from CMR High School and Aaron Hemphill from the Paris Gibson Education Center. Congratulations to all of you and continued success in your academic studies.
